This is the group's first coal shipment to the South African market this year.

The group is planning to export more than 60,000 tons of coal from now to the end of May.

The overseas shipment is expected to help the group increase sales and ensure stable exploitation and delivery of coal from mines in the Cam Pha area, the northern province of Quang Ninh.

Ambassador to South Africa Hoang Van said Viet Nam is likely to boost its export of farm produce, ceramics, furniture, and consumer goods to South Africa, and it will import fresh fruits, coal, minerals, and chemicals from the African nation.

Two-way trade between Viet Nam and South Africa in 2022 hit US$1.3 billion./.
