On the afternoon of October 7, Chairman of the Bac Ninh city People's Committee Pham Hoang Son chaired a meeting to review progress and accelerate the implementation of investment and construction of new urban, eco-tourism, cultural, resort and entertainment projects in Tam Son and Tien Du wards, Bac Ninh city.

An overview of the meeting.

Also attending the meeting were Dao Quang Khai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh city People's Committee, and leaders of relevant departments, agencies and localities.

The two projects in Sub-areas 112.1 and 112.3 have basically completed procedures related to planning, feasibility study reports and environmental impact assessments. However, site clearance has fallen approximately six months behind the schedule set in the contracts.

In Sub-area 112.1, the project covers approximately 299 hectares with a total implementation cost of more than VND 19.714 trillion. Compensation and support plans have been approved for 1,096 households, covering more than 50% of the project area, of which 543 households have received payments.

In Sub-area 112.3, the project covers approximately 199 hectares with a total implementation cost of more than VND 11.171 trillion. Compensation plans have been approved for 2,506 out of 2,526 households, equivalent to 92.4% of the project area, but only 1,124 households have received compensation payments.

The delay is mainly attributed to a lack of consensus among some residents, who have raised concerns and recommendations regarding compensation and support policies. Difficulties have also arisen in allocating new land and relocating a cemetery in Sub-area 112.3.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman Pham Hoang Son asked Tam Son and Tien Du wards to identify site clearance as a key task, mobilize the entire political system, strengthen communications, dialogue and public mobilization to build consensus among residents, and promptly make compensation payments for approved plans.

Relevant departments and agencies were tasked with reviewing documents and procedures and promptly resolving difficulties and obstacles. The city's Land Fund Development Center was requested to prioritize personnel for inventorying, preparing compensation plans and making compensation payments.

Agencies and units were also asked to regularly update project progress, promptly address legitimate recommendations from residents, and strive to accelerate site clearance, creating favorable conditions for the projects to be implemented on schedule.
