On the morning of October 22, a working delegation led by Mr. Tran Huy Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh City Party Committee inspected rural road expansion works and the construction progress of a resettlement area in Trung Chinh Commune, in preparation for the Gia Binh International Airport Construction Investment Project.

During site visits to Phu Tho and Dong La villages, Deputy Secretary Tran Huy Phuong acknowledged the positive progress of the campaign encouraging residents to donate land for rural road expansion. Along previously narrow roads, many households have voluntarily donated land and dismantled fences and gates to widen roadways, improving local travel and trade while gradually upgrading residential infrastructure.

In recent years, Trung Chinh Commune has reviewed and identified roads requiring upgrading and expansion, with main roads planned to be at least 7 meters wide and secondary roads at least 4 meters wide. With an emphasis on promoting the role of residents as key participants, local authorities have stepped up public communication and mobilization efforts to build consensus throughout implementation. To date, 250 households across the commune have voluntarily donated nearly 4,000 square meters of residential land to widen five main roads in local villages.

Thanks to the collective efforts and close collaboration of local residents, many roads have been progressively widened and paved, enhancing the overall appearance of residential areas and contributing to a more modern, well-maintained living environment. In recognition of these positive developments, Tran Huy Phuong urged the local Party committee and authorities to sustain the land-donation campaign and further encourage community participation in upgrading and expanding local transport infrastructure.

The delegation subsequently inspected the progress of the resettlement area in Trung Chinh Commune, which is being developed to serve the Gia Binh International Airport Construction Investment Project. Covering a planned area of more than 173 hectares, the resettlement site is currently undergoing the development of technical and social infrastructure, housing for residents, public facilities and religious structures in accordance with the approved plan.

The project is an important undertaking to ensure adequate resettlement conditions for households subject to relocation, while helping address difficulties in site clearance and meet the implementation schedule of this key project. Given its substantial scale, the development of the resettlement area requires close coordination among relevant agencies, units and local authorities, particularly in completing infrastructure, allocating and handing over land, and assisting residents with home construction.

Following the site inspection, Deputy Secretary Tran Huy Phuong instructed relevant specialized agencies and local authorities to review outstanding issues and promptly resolve emerging difficulties and obstacles. He called for accelerated completion of technical infrastructure, ensuring an integrated system of roads, sidewalks, electricity supply, water supply and drainage, and other essential facilities so that residents can begin building their homes and stabilize their lives as soon as possible.

The Deputy Secretary also stressed that, alongside accelerating construction, the local Party committee and authorities must proactively understand residents' circumstances, concerns and aspirations, while strengthening public communication and engagement to build consensus throughout the implementation process. Flexible solutions and support policies should be applied in accordance with regulations to help households complete the necessary procedures, receive their allocated land promptly and begin constructing homes in the resettlement area.

He emphasized that project implementation must go hand in hand with safeguarding residents' living conditions. Particular attention must be paid to the timely and comprehensive completion of essential infrastructure, enabling relocated households to settle into their new homes and rebuild their lives as soon as possible.
