JPMorgan Chase names Tracy-Ann Lim as chief media officer

JPMorgan Chase has promoted Tracy-Ann Lim to chief media officer, a role left open after the departure of Andrew Knott in 2019.

Lim steps up from her position as executive director, head of media. She will be tasked with cultivating the company’s brand safety efforts alongside its overarching media strategy.

Since joining last April the strategist has worked to streamline the bank’s paid media practice across strategy planning, partnerships, investment, search, SEO and programmatic.

An internal memo praised her ability to “deliver excellence” across the company’s entire performance marketing landscape. She will lead a total of 40 staff, including 11 direct reports.

Lim will report into chief marketing officer, Leslie Gillin, who was promoted from president of co-brand credit cards in January. Gillin’s predecessor, Kristin Lemkau, was elevated to run JPMorgan Chase’s new US wealth management division a month earlier.

Meanwhile, Andrew Knott, the company’s former chief media officer, exited to become president of the Verizon account last December.

Lim originally joined JPMorgan Chase from the agency side, having built a resume at companies such as MediaVest (now Starcom), Initiative and Carat. She was mostly recently executive vice-president, strategy and client relations at Media Assembly.
