Vu Ninh ward inaugurates and launches “National Flag Street” initiative

On the morning of September 2, the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Vu Ninh Ward (Bac Ninh) held a ceremony to inaugurate and launch the “National Flag Street” initiative on Tran Luu Street in Thi Cau 3 Residential Group. The activity marked the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), while contributing to the preparations for the establishment of Bac Ninh as a centrally governed city.

The initiative was implemented along Tran Luu Street, featuring nearly 100 flagpoles, with funding mobilized from both the ward budget and socialized contributions.
The flagpoles are uniformly arranged along the street, creating a dignified and well-maintained urban landscape. The initiative not only enhances the appearance of the area but also reflects national pride and love for the homeland, creating a festive and spirited atmosphere among local residents, particularly during major national holidays.

Beyond its landscape value, the “National Flag Street” also carries educational significance, helping promote patriotism, national pride and a sense of responsibility among officials, Party members and residents toward the homeland and the country. At the ceremony, Vu Ninh Ward announced the decision to establish and officially launched the Steering Committee for the “National Flag Street” initiative. The committee is responsible for managing, maintaining and protecting the project, while coordinating with residential groups and local residents to care for and preserve the flagpoles and national flags, ensuring the street remains clean, attractive and dignified, particularly during holidays, Tet and major political events.
