Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai: Review and comprehensively finalize Van Mieu Park project to ensure dignified appearance before inauguration

On the morning of September 8, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, inspected the progress of the project to construct technical infrastructure and auxiliary facilities for Van Mieu Park.

Joining the delegation were Mr. Le Xuan Loi, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Mr. Ta Dang Doan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of the Kinh Bac Ward Party Committee.

During the site inspection, Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility and efforts of the local authorities, project owner, consultants, contractors, and workers involved in the project. Thanks to their concerted efforts, the project has remained on schedule, with all work items now 100% completed. The facility is scheduled to be inaugurated on September 16, 2026, as part of activities marking Bac Ninh’s establishment as a centrally governed city.

Emphasizing the project’s special significance in political, cultural and urban landscape terms, the Secretary instructed local authorities and relevant agencies to continue reviewing all components and focus on completing the remaining tasks to ensure the facility is cohesive, harmonious and dignified. Particular attention should be paid to the arrangement and decoration of the interior of the Uncle Ho Memorial Temple in a solemn and harmonious manner that reflects the project’s historical and cultural values. Worship items, artifacts and other objects should be arranged logically and appropriately to preserve the solemnity and sanctity of the worship space.

At the same time, a comprehensive cleanup of the entire site is underway, including the removal of construction materials and debris, care and maintenance of greenery and landscaping, and inspection of electrical, lighting and plumbing systems, as well as auxiliary facilities, to ensure that all conditions are fully in place ahead of the inauguration.

Cleaning operations are actively underway to ensure the facility is pristine and well-presented for the inauguration.

The Secretary also urged local authorities, the project owner and relevant agencies to uphold a strong sense of responsibility and ensure proactive coordination. He instructed them to conduct regular site inspections and promptly address any emerging issues, preventing them from affecting the project’s quality and aesthetics. This will help ensure that the inauguration is held as scheduled, in a solemn and safe manner, while contributing to the creation of a distinctive cultural, historical and urban landscape feature for the locality.
