However, the preparation for this shift has been relatively slow.According to Tran Dinh Luan, Director General of the Directorate of Fisheries, the agency has guided units to invest in technology for tra fish breeding, with an aim to ensure that the industry can meet the market demand for reduced emissions throughout the production and processing process in the near future. This is also part of its preparation efforts for next year.The directorate is also providing technical guidance on tra fish care using probiotics to treat emissions directly at the farm. By applying technology in farming to reduce energy consumption and water usage, the industry aims to demonstrate the economic effectiveness of sustainable production and processing. Regarding capital requirements, the government has implemented several policies to help enterprises access funding at favourable interest rates. Specifically, the directorate has introduced small projects and initiatives focused on energy reduction and production cost savings, encouraging businesses to adopt green production and processing practices within the tra fish supply chain, Luan added.Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien urged ministries, sectors, and localities to develop industrial-scale farming with a focus on biosafety, tight control over antibiotic use, green production, the formation of a supply chain, and the development of potential markets./.

The holiday season, including Black Friday, Christmas, and New Year, typically boosts demand for textile products, driving revenue growth for export companies.In the long term, when interest rate cuts in major markets positively impact the economy, leading to stable employment and purchasing power, unit prices are expected to improve even further, said experts.Le Tien Truong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex), noted that Vietnamese garment makers are benefitting from improved consumer demand in key textile export markets and the political instability in competing countries like Bangladesh and Myanmar. Many garment companies have already secured orders through the second quarter, and even into the third quarter of 2025.“It’s expected that garment makers will benefit as US consumer demand improves during the coming holiday shopping season. Demand and unit prices will only truly improve starting in 2025 in an optimistic scenario. With such favorable factors, Vietnam’s textile industry faces significant market opportunities and is poised to consolidate its position as a bright spot on the global textile map,” said Truong.Despite optimism, Vietnam’s garment industry still faces significant competitive pressures when exporting to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) markets. Some countries benefit from tariff preferences as developing economies, while Vietnam has higher labour costs and pressures related to social insurance, health care, and the need to fully implement commitments under new-generation free trade agreements.However, comparing Vietnam’s competitive advantages, Vietnamese textile companies benefit from the country’s strategic location, large port system, and the ability to produce a wide range of high-value products such as suits, winter coats, swimwear, and more, with diverse designs and fast delivery.Vietnam’s textile products have been exported to more than 100 countries and territories worldwide. With the year-end shopping season approaching, garment makers are trying to diversify customer groups and product offerings, introduce new products with innovative materials and designs, and meet the stringent standards of their partners, so as to achieve the export target of US$44 billion this year./.

Companies like FPT have achieved notable success in Japan and South Korea.Viet Nam has agreements with nearly 80 countries on investment encouragement and protection and on double taxation avoidance, providing essential safeguards for overseas investments.As of August, Viet Nam had 1,757 active overseas investment projects with combined capital of nearly US$22.26 billion./.

The process of sea flooding and sea erosion has made the karst geomorphology of Ha Long Bay unique in the world, fundamental to geomorphology science and of global significance. Cat Ba Archipelago is the western edge of the Ha Long karst field that has been eroded by seawater. This is a special form of karst, one of the reasons that makes Ha Long Bay and the neighbouring limestone islands so attractive.With the intersection of mountains, forests, sea and islands, Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago is a typical area with high diversity in Asia, possessing 7 adjacent, successively developing tropical and subtropical marine - island ecosystems including: primary tropical rainforest ecosystem; cave ecosystem; mangrove forest ecosystem; intertidal ecosystem; coral reef ecosystem; soft bottom ecosystem; saltwater lake ecosystem. These ecosystems represent ecological and biological processes that are still evolving and developing, as demonstrated by the diversity of plant and animal communities.
