Bac Ninh: Total retail sales of goods up 19.17% over eight months

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the total retail sales of goods in the province over the first eight months of 2026 are estimated at over VND 78,819.5 billion, an increase of 19.17% compared to the same period last year. Specifically, in August alone, total retail sales were estimated at over VND 10,227.5 billion, up 0.6% from the previous month and up 30.48% year-on-year.

Specifically, regarding the accommodation, food and beverage, and travel services sector, revenue in August rose by 2.49% compared to the previous month. Of this, accommodation service revenue reached VND 99.9 billion, up 0.79% month-on-month and 74.26% year-on-year; food and beverage services generated over VND 1,980 billion, up 2.76% month-on-month and 29.47% year-on-year. Travel service revenue stood at VND 93.53 billion, a decrease of 1.27% from the previous month but an increase of 68.84% year-on-year. Revenue from other service sectors in August exceeded VND 4,940 billion, up 20.14% year-on-year; the accumulated figure for the eight-month period reached over VND 38,330 billion, an increase of 22.1%.
