Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai meets with ENERTRAG Group regarding wind power projects

On the morning of October 1, at the City Party Committee headquarters, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the City Party Committee worked with a delegation from ENERTRAG Group (Federal Republic of Germany) to discuss the implementation status of local wind power projects.

Also attending the meeting were Mr. Pham Van Thinh, Member of the City Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, along with representatives from various departments and agencies.

At the meeting, Mr. Gunar Hering, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ENERTRAG, stated that the Group is currently implementing two projects: the Bac Giang 1 and Bac Giang 2 wind power plants. Notably, the Bac Giang 2 project is being invested in by a consortium comprising ENERTRAG SE and ENERTRAG Vietnam Co., Ltd., with a total capital of over VND 2.1 trillion and a capacity of 55 MW; commercial power generation is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2028. The Group requested the city's support in resolving difficulties related to land, investment plans, and land allocation for auxiliary facilities and construction staging areas.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai affirmed that Bac Ninh prioritizes attracting high-tech, clean, and environmentally friendly projects that foster sustainable development. The city commits to accompanying the enterprise, creating favorable conditions, and directing departments and agencies to assist in resolving obstacles regarding legal procedures, finance, site clearance, and infrastructure; simultaneously, the city will proactively propose that central authorities adjust mechanisms and policies that are no longer suitable for practical realities.

The Secretary urged ENERTRAG to accelerate the progress of ongoing projects while continuing to explore new investment opportunities, aiming to develop comprehensive, long-term energy solutions that support the city's industrial and urban development.
