Deputy Secretary Tran Huy Phuong encourages and presents a gift to the family of a pediatric patient in the Neonatology Department at Bac Ninh Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital No. 2.

At the hospital, Deputy Secretary Tran Huy Phuong and the delegation visited and encouraged pediatric patients undergoing treatment and acknowledged the efforts of the hospital’s medical staff and doctors in caring for and protecting the health of mothers and children.

In 2026, the hospital has focused on improving the quality of medical examination and treatment to better meet healthcare needs. It currently comprises eight functional departments, two logistics departments, 12 clinical departments and three paraclinical departments. So far this year, the hospital has conducted more than 77,000 outpatient examinations, treated over 24,000 inpatients and performed more than 4,100 surgeries.

The hospital has also continued developing specialized clinics, regularly applying advanced and complex medical techniques, and accelerating information technology applications and digital transformation in medical examination and treatment. In particular, it has focused on effectively utilizing the facilities and equipment of its Phase 2 building, gradually strengthening its professional capacity and meeting the healthcare needs of mothers and children in Bac Ninh City and neighboring areas.

The Deputy Secretary emphasized that Bac Ninh City always pays attention to the care and health of children, particularly those undergoing treatment at the hospital. He encouraged the young patients to stay positive, follow their doctors’ instructions and focus on treatment so that they can recover soon, return to their families and enjoy a warm and joyful Mid-Autumn Festival.

He also acknowledged the hospital’s prompt operation of the Phase 2 building, which has helped expand its medical examination and treatment capacity. He asked the hospital’s staff and medical professionals to continue promoting solidarity, improving professional expertise and enhancing the quality of care for mothers and children.

He called on the hospital to gradually develop its professional capacity and position it as a specialized medical facility capable of meeting the healthcare needs of residents in Bac Ninh City and the surrounding region.

On the occasion, the Deputy Secretary presented gifts to pediatric patients receiving treatment at the hospital, including 20 gift packages for children facing difficult circumstances.

During a visit to 104-year-old Nguyen Thi Mui, born in 1922, in Residential Group No. 6, Vo Cuong Ward, Tran Huy Phuong inquired about her health and daily life. He expressed his delight at seeing her remain healthy and mentally alert despite her advanced age.

He wished her continued good health, happiness and longevity, and encouraged her to continue serving as a source of encouragement for her children and grandchildren, helping them preserve family traditions, build a cultured lifestyle and contribute to the development of their hometown.

Tran Huy Phuong emphasized that older people are a valuable asset to their families and society. With their life experience and standing in the community, they play an important role in building strong families, communities and localities.

He asked local Party committees and authorities to continue paying close attention to the material and spiritual well-being of older people, particularly those facing difficult circumstances or living alone, through regular visits, care and encouragement, thereby upholding the Vietnamese tradition of respecting and honoring older people.
